Organic electronic transistors can be fabricated in arrays over large-areas on plastic substrates using printing methods.
This project is to use this technology to create a sheet-like flexible and conformable biosensor which can detect in two-dimensions neurological activity in the brain or muscles by measuring electronic and neurochemical signals on the surface of the skin or the surface of the cortex.
This is for the diagnosis and treatment of neurological and neuromuscular diseases and trauma, as well as a link between the brain and external electronic devices.
